Deepwood Industries is a non-profit corporation who has been successfully in business since 1962 and who provides employment to individuals with mental retardation and developmental disabilities.
What is the benefit to using Deepwood Industries?
Companies benefit from opportunities they have created by employing reliable workers who have a sincere desire to work for you. There is also a Work Opportunity Tax Credit which is available to employers who hire a person with disabilities.
Who would supervise a person who worked at my place of business?
The Lake County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities will provide a job coach to assist in the training and supervision of our workers at no cost to you.
How would the employee get to my place of business?
We have an award winning transportation department that provides two-way transportation for all our employees.
How is the price determined?
Deepwood Industries bills its customers either by piece rate or on an hourly rate depending on the work that is performed. Our procurement specialists and job placement specialists determine this cost for you according to laws we follow provided by the US Department of Labor.
Where is the work performed?
Deepwood Industries has two workshops that provide work for assembly, packaging and mailing jobs and we have employees who perform work at the company’s place of business.
Do we need to bring the work to you or can you provide pickup?
Trucks and van-height docks are available at both the Mentor and Willoughby sites. Our own shipping fleet and drivers can pick up and deliver your work to your plant.
